Technician Next Generation Sequencing and Molecular Biology: As of April 1st 2011 Diana is part of Baseclear’s Next-Gen team and together with Erwin Fakkert she is responsible for the genome, transcriptome and exome analysis projects.She also works for the Molecular Biology department with a focus on the construction of synthetic libraries. Diana studied Biology and Medical Biological Laboratory Science (HLO) in Leiden and specialized in microbiology. She wrote her thesis at Utrecht University where she did research on fungal genetics and studied enzymatic pathways related to carbon degradation. After graduation in 2008 she worked for LUMC and Leiden University. The projectsheI was working on focused transcription regulation of carbohydrate modifying enzymes and sugar uptake networks. After completing the project in 2011 she has taken on the challenge of working for Baseclear.
In her free time you can find her in the gym kickboxing. She also enjoys cooking, read lots of cookbooks and watches all the cooking shows.
