RICHARD DE WINTER 

Product specialist Micro Quality Assurance: As product specialist Quality Assurance, Richard is responsible for all MicroSEQ and Mycoplasma testing as well as for the release of resulting data. As customer relation manager, Richard maintains contact with customers about Quality Assurance. He provides support in the event of technical problems and is responsible for annual contracts.

Background:

Richard studied Biology and Medical Biological Laboratory Science (HLO) at the Holland University of Applied Sciences in Alkmaar, majoring in biochemistry. After graduation, Richard joined Pharming in Leiden, where he worked as research technician and later as research associate. His work focused on the coordination of the cloning and testing of transgenic cows. In 2002, Richard joined BaseClear, after he had worked for Pharming for nine years. Initially, Richard worked as project manager for all molecular biological services. Later, he became product specialist sequencing and molecular microbiology responsible for all laboratory practices for these services. Mid 2008, Richard handed over his responsibilities in the sequencing area to Jan Peter Heutink. Richard is now product specialist DNA-based Quality Assurance (the former molecular microbiology) and spends his remaining time studying for his executive MBA degree.
