PRIMER DESIGN & SYNTHESIS

The efficiency of a primer depends on many factors, such as the melting temperature, the GC-content and the occurrence of hairpin loops, (cross)-dimers and false priming. BaseClear is able to design oligonucleotides in which disturbing factors are avoided and the melting temperature and GC-content are adjusted to the wishes of the customer. In addition to this, we now offer the synthesis of labelled primers.

Provide us with your target sequence and the range in which the primer(s) should be designed, and we will provide you with the optimal primer design and synthesis. As extra service for oligonucleotides larger than 30-40mer, we offer the option of purifying them by HPLC.

Synthesis of labelled primers
Customers can choose oligonucleotides with 5'- or 3'-modifications, such as Fam, Hex, Tet, Biotin, Tamra, Phos, C6-Amino, Thiol-C6, Rox, Joe or Texas-Red. Dual labelling with fluorogenic probes is also possible. Primers can be purified by PAGE or HPLC.
