Tiny microorganisms can cause big problems when contaminating your samples. Identification is necessary to reveal their type and origin. BaseClear offers an innovative new service for fast and reliable identification of these microorganisms, based on the validated MicroSEQ® system from Applied Biosystems.
Fast and reliable method
MicroSEQ is a revolutionary system for the identification of microbiological samples (bacteria and fungi), based on PCR and sequencing of the 16S/D2 LSU rRNA genes. This system provides accurate and reproducible results without the need for time-consuming growth. MicroSEQ is suitable for fast screening (max. 3 days) of even the most difficult samples. Using this system, BaseClear offers a service that is far more accurate and much faster than any other conventional identification method.

- MicroSEQ 500 16S Bacterial identification. Identification of bacteria via sequencing of 500 bases of bacterial 16S rRNA gene. Standard service with a delivery time of 4 - 5 working days or fast service* with a delivery time of a maximum of 1 - 2 working days.
- MicroSEQ Full gene 16S Bacterial identification. Identification of bacteria via sequencing of the full bacterial 16S rRNA gene. Standard service with a delivery time of 4 - 5 working days or fast service* with a delivery time of a maximum of 1 - 2 working days.
- MicroSEQ D2 LSU Fungal Identification. Identification of fungi via sequencing of the fungal D2 region of the LSU rRNA gene. Standard service with a delivery time of 4 -5 working days or fast service* with a delivery time of maximal 1- 2 working days.
