RNA Synthesis
Ultra pure RNA may be used as an internal control for RT-PCR or NASBA in e.g. viral diagnostics. Since it is not always possible or safe to store a consistent batch of virus or viral RNA for these purposes, synthetic RNA may serve as a valuable alternative to validate your experiments.
Other uses for synthetic RNA include microinjection studies and use as catalytic RNA (ribozymes).
Microgram quantities of pure RNA can be transcribed in vitro from plasmids containing either T7, T3, or Sp6 promoters and restriction sites for linearization. Suitable plasmids may be provided by the client or can be constructed by us from existing or synthetic genes.
