Analysis of DNA Methylation
An
increasing number of research fields now focus on DNA methylation as a
major player in the epigenetic control of gene expression and
associated diseases.
BaseClear offers a complete service package
for assessing DNA methylation based on the bisulfite conversion method.
The bisulfite reaction specifically converts cytosine residues into
uracil, leaving all other DNA building block including methylated
cytosine unchanged. Following bisulfite conversion, downstream
applications like PCR and DNA sequencing can be used to establish
specifically where methylated and non-methylated cytosine residues are
present in the source material, or to compare the methylation of
specific regions between multiple samples. Our fully equipped
laboratory will analyze the presence of methylated cytosine residues in
the genomic region of your choice employing the ZYMO Research EZ DNA
Methylation Kit for bisulfite conversion and various other methods to
assess the DNA methylation status.
