High purity of DNA samples submitted for DNA sequencing is essential for the resulting quality of the sequence data. BaseClear offers a efficient plasmid purification service.
The Plasmid Purification service is our effective product for high-quality plasmid DNA isolation from E. coli cultures. Plasmid DNA can be purified from three volumes (HT = 1,5ml., standard = 5 ml., maxi = 250 ml.) The choice of the service and the final DNA output are depended on the copy-number and size of the plasmid. Generally we advice to use standard or HT volumes for high-copy plasmids and a maxi prep when submitting low-copy plasmids or large constructs (like cosmids, BACs). The purified plasmid can be used directly for automated fluorescent DNA BigDye™ sequencing as well as for other standard molecular biology techniques without further manipulation.
