Gene Synthesis technology is currently the fastest and most efficient method to create and/or optimise a DNA sequence. The codon optimisation which is made possible by gene synthesis is often an essential step in many gene expression and recombinant protein expression projects.
Besides and in addition to our Gene Synthesis services we offer extensive options for site saturated and degenerate recombinant synthetic libraries.
After construction of a gene you can order large quantities of plasmid DNA through our DNA purification department or order RNA or protein synthesis.
Sequence optimisation:
The DNA sequence that you require for an experiment can come from a variety of organisms. Consequently codon optimization is often the essential first step in proper expression of a gene in the desired host. Together with the gene synthesis, you can optimise your gene of interest free of charge here at BaseClear and in the process try eliminate possible mRNA structures, repeats, motives, restriction sites and splice sites. Final delivery:
The final synthesised gene will be delivered to you in a package including:
- 5-10 ug purified plasmid DNA of your gene cloned in our standard vector pBC (sequence, map)
- Complete report of the geneoptimization and synthesis project
- Complete alignment of your gene cloned into pBC (electronic)
- Raw sequence data (electronic)
- E. coli culture stab containing vector with your gene

Furthermore BaseClear will only use organisms and synthesis DNA that are classified under our GGO license. BaseClear is entitled to reject any sequence that is not classified under our GGO license or which is of doubtful origin.
