Site directed mutagenesis service
Site-directed or random mutagenesis of virtually every DNA fragment is possible using optimised protocols. This service can be used to create mutations in any DNA fragment cloned in a plasmid vector. The possibility of generating specific mutations is a valuable tool for the study of DNA function, protein structure and function. Unwanted mutations that may arise following the cloning of PCR fragments can also be eliminated using this technique.
BaseClear can help you introduce a range of mutations from point mutations, deletions or insertions. With this service it is also possible to introduction deletion ranging from 10-1000bp in a DNA vector.
| The final construct will be delivered to you in a package including: |
|---|
5-10 ug purified plasmid DNA of your vector with mutation |
Complete report of the mutagenesis project |
Complete alignment of sequence (500bp) around mutation (electronic) |
Raw sequence data (electronic) |
E. coli culture stab containing vector with mutation |
All sequences will be checked for biosecurity and GGO license (internal blast, no data will go through internet). Furthermore BaseClear will only use organisms and synthesis DNA that are classified under our GGO license. BaseClear is entitled to reject any sequence that is not classified under our GGO license or which is of doubtful origin.
