GENE SYNTHESIS SERVICE 

BaseClear offers De Novo gene synthesis. This is an extremely fast and efficient way to obtain and/or optimise any possible DNA sequence, from a few hundred base pairs up to several kb.

Our gene synthesis services in short:

• A digital version of the sequence will be checked by our product specialist (e.g. biological safety, inverted repeats, hairpins, GC content, etc.)
• codon optimization is included (if requested
• We can add or remove restriction sites, eliminate repeats, splice sites and motives and avoid RNA secondary structures *
• Design of a strategy for the construction of overlapping polynucleotides*
• Synthesis of designed polynucleotides*
• Generation of double-stranded DNA fragment, the synthetic gene, using the synthesized polynucleotides as starting point
• Cloning of the gene in a standard vector (usually pUC57)
• The cloned gene is checked using DNA sequencing
• Weekly update on the status of the project
