GENE SYNTHESIS SERVICE 

BaseClear offers De Novo gene synthesis. This is an extremely fast and efficient way to obtain and/or optimise any possible DNA sequence, from a few hundred base pairs up to several kb.

Our gene synthesis services in short:

• Please send us a digital version of the sequence, which will be checked by our product specialist (e.g. inverted repeats, biological safety, etc.) 
• Codon optimization is included if requested 
• We can add or remove restriction sites, eliminate repeats, splice sites and motives and avoid RNA secondary structures 
• Design of a strategy for the construction of overlapping polynucleotide’s 
• Synthesis of designed polynucleotide’s 
• Generation of double-stranded DNA fragment, the synthetic gene, using the synthesised polynucleotide’s as starting point 
• Cloning of the gene in a standard vector (usually pUC57)
• The cloned gene is checked using DNA sequencing

Additional options:

• Subcloning of a synthetically produced DNA-fragment into a customer specified vector 
• Transformation of the construct in E.coli (dh5α), bacteria will be delivered as agar stab
• Delivery of bacteria as glycerol stock
