DNA and RNA Purification

In addition to our DNA/RNA purification service, BaseClear distributes high quality products for DNA and RNA isolation and purification. Our product range covers:

Isolations are based on unique affinity column and magnetic beads technologies.

ZYMO RESEARCH: DNA/RNA isolation based on affinity columns
Zymo-Spin columns offers the following advantages:

1. Very low elution volumes: 6-8 ul
2. Fast and convenient protocols (e.g. PCR clean-up in 2 min.)
3. Isolated fragment lengths: 75 bp-23 kb
4. No retention volume, so no loss

Product range:
DNA: gel isolation, PCR clean-up, miniprep, genomic isolation from blood, cells, tissue and yeast.
RNA: gel isolation, viral RNA isolation, RNA isolation from blood, tissue and yeast.

CHEMAGEN: Magnetic bead purification, sample volumes between 10ul and 10 ml.
Magnetic beads with a M-PVA matrix are used to purify DNA from many different sample origins. No centrifugation steps are required and high yields of ultra pure DNA are obtained. The isolated products can be used directly in a variety of downstream applications.

Manual and robotic kits are available for:
DNA isolation from blood (200ul to 10ml volumes), plasma/serum, tissue, buccal swabs, PCR products and plant material
RNA isolation: viral DNA/RNA from plasma/serum.
