Jan Peter manages a team of five technicians, who are responsible for carrying out all DNA purifications and DNA sequencing. Jan Peter takes care of the quality assurance and the delivery of the resulting data at the agreed upon times. He always runs a final check on the sequence data before they are sent off to the customers.

Full sequencing means full service and high quality. This option guarantees the best sequencing results when it comes to read length, quality of data and customer wishes. Results can be delivered within 2 working days, for purified DNA even within 24 hours!
BaseClear's full sequencing service in short
- DNA concentration will be measured prior to the sequencing reaction, in order to obtain optimal results.
- Sequencing data are automatically analysed by PHRED, the international standard software for superior base calling and sequence data interpretation. Poor sequence runs that do not meet our quality standards are reviewed manually.
- Failed runs are repeated at no additional charge.
- Primers can be chosen from our standard primer list, sent with the order or ordered in advance.
- Customers can choose to submit raw PCR product or bacteria instead of purified PCR product or plasmid DNA. BaseClear will purify DNA out of these samples at additional costs and delivery time (1 working day).
- Delivery time: 2 working days.
Options
- Full short: Single sequencing reaction including DNA-concentration measurement, data editing and rerun if necessary. Short run with a read length of maximal 550 bp.
- Full long: Single sequencing reaction including DNA-concentration measurement, data editing and rerun if necessary. Long run with a read length of maximal 1000 bp.
- GC-rich run: Additional charge for GC-rich samples. The sequencing reaction will be performed with a special sequencing kit.
- Sequencing primer design and synthesis: Additional option, design of a sequencing primer, synthesis of one primer on a 40 nM scale.
- Plasmid miniprep: Additional option, purification of plasmid DNA from 5 ml bacterial culture.
- PCR purification: additional option, purification of PCR product prior to the sequencing reaction.
