BaseClear is looking for an enthusiastic and creative marketing-communication intern with an interest in life sciences/(molecular) biology. During the internship you will work on developing a communication strategy and translating this in a communication year plan. In addition you will be working on practical assignments; e.g. write content for the website, marketing materials and social media posts.

The internship will give you the opportunity to learn about marketing & communication strategies and what it takes to successfully market services and products within the Life Science Industry. You will work directly with the marketing director.

You will be working for a growing high-tech company. BaseClear is a contract laboratory specialized in DNA research. We offer a wide range of DNA tests for customers working in the food, pharma & life science industries. We now have around 65 employees and are located at the Bio Science Park in Leiden, The Netherlands.

About the internship position:

As Marketing & Communication intern, you will help to create, set up and implement (online) marketing & communication strategies. The most important activities include:

  • Develop a communication strategy
  • Social Media strategy & posting
  • Create brand awareness
  • Content creation for website and marketing materials
  • Communication regarding events

We are looking for:

  • You are following / have followed a course in (science) communication, marketing, science-based business or similar.
  • You have an affinity with life sciences/(molecular) biology
  • You are enthusiastic and creative
  • You are a good communicator
  • You are available for a period of 4-6 months for at least 4 days per week.
