BaseClear was founded in 1993, and ever since has been a pioneer in genomic analysis. We have been on the forefront of microbial genomics innovations and industrial applications. BaseClear offers a complete range of microbial genomics services for many applications including clinical trials wherein microbiome readouts are also part of results: metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, microbiome analysis and microbial strain characterization for regulatory approval. In addition to our core business, we are a distributor of laboratory products for DNA research.

We are also proud to be located in the heart of the Leiden Bio Science Park in Leiden, one of the leading bioscience hubs in Europe.

For our commercial department, we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Sales representative laboratory products
(24 – 32 hours per week)

Job: 
The successful candidate is responsible for the sales of our laboratory products. This includes products for epigenetics, DNA/RNA purification, and several other molecular biological lab products. The responsibilities include lead generation & validation, new customer acquisition, and account management.

Profile:  
As a person, you are proactive, outgoing, enthusiastic and have a commercial mindset.
Our team will benefit from a candidate with the following experience and characteristics:

  • You have a completed BSc or MSc degree in Life Science & Technology, higher laboratory education or similar.
  • You have 1-3 years of demonstrated sales experience.
  • You have an understanding of the processes and products which are used in a laboratory.
  • You are based in (or close to) Leiden.

What we offer: 
A challenging position in a biotech company, where the successful candidate will work in a highly motivated and ambitious team. You are offered a base salary plus commission, based on achieving a sales target.
