For our growing Marketing & Sales department we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Senior Account Manager – Bioscience
(1 FTE)


The Senior Account Manager will join and take a key role in the commercial team at BaseClear. The successful candidate will hold account management experience in the biotechnology, food or pharmaceutical industries. The candidate will be responsible for the growth of BaseClear’s key accounts by building strong customer relationships and account management skills. The candidate will be proactive and receptive to the needs & services required by the clients . Consultative sales management is the core of this function. The role will require both national and international travel, so travelling flexibility is required.
You will be a part of ambitious team of account managers, business developers, marketeers and product developers with ample opportunities to grow & lead.


You are responsible to address the needs of the key accounts, customer relationship management, and for the performance and growth of the accounts. You are solution-driven and a ‘go-getter’, with a proactive commercial mindset, experienced in working with scientists and researchers as clients. You should be able to navigate priorities in an opportunities rich environment. Excellence in communication and presentation skills is a key characteristic. Direct, demonstrable experience with microbiology and genomics technologies and/or a good network in our market are a great advantage.

Our team and clients will benefit from a candidate with the following:

  • Strong academic background (preferably Masters degree or higher) in bioscience, (industrial or food) biotechnology, nutrition sciences, bioinformatics, microbiology or related discipline with affinity to genomics market & next generation sequencing.
  • A proven track record (min 4 years) in account management.
  • Skills to work with key contacts and DMUs.
  • Ability to work effectively with scientists and researchers as clients.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and drafting-implementing service agreements.
  • Ability to achieve growth driven yearly budgets.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • High level of energy and ambition.
  • Ability to work with and update CRM system and Business intelligence tools.
  • A network in the pharma, food ingredients and biotech market.
  • The ability to work well independently as well as in a cross disciplinary team
  • Can-do-mentality, focused, flexible and willingness to travel.
