For our growing Marketing & Sales department we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Senior Account Manager – Bioscience (M/F)



The Senior Account Manager will join and take a key role in the commercial team at BaseClear. The successful candidate will come with years of account management experience in biotechnology or genomics or biosciences industry. The candidate will be responsible for the growth of key accounts by building strong relationships with clients. The candidate will be receptive to new developments and trends in the market and defining potential new products & services. Consultative sales is the core of this job. The role will require both national and international travel to meet customers and to attend  relevant conferences.

You will be a part of growth mindset team of account managers, business developers, marketeers and product developers. You will have plenty of opportunity to grow.


You are responsible for the performance and growth of key accounts. You are meticulous, achievement oriented, with commercial mindset, proactive, creative with consultative sales approach, enthusiastic and is eloquent in working with scientists and researchers as clients.. You should be able to navigate priorities in a opportunities rich environment. Excellence in communication and presentation skills will be an advantage. Direct, demonstrable experience with microbiology and genomics technologies and/or a good network in this market is crucial.

Specifically we are searching for a candidate with the following experience and characteristics:

  • Educated to Masters degree level or higher in a bioscience, biotechnology, bioinformatics, microbiology or related discipline with affinity to genomics market & next generation sequencing.
  • A proven track record (min. 5 years) in (key) account management is a must.
  • Ability to gain access and influence key contacts and DMUs.
  • Ability to eloquently work with scientists and researchers as clients.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and drafting-implementing service agreements.
  • Skills to present and achieve growth driven yearly budgets.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • High level of energy and ambition.
  • Ability to work with and update CRM systems and BI tools.
  • A network in the food ingredients, pharma and biotech market.
  • The ability to work well independently as well as in the role of a senior within the sales team.
  • Can-do-mentality, focused, flexible and willingness to travel.
