With her unwavering passion for microorganism and over 15 years dedicated research experience, Hua Zhu brings her expertise to BaseClear as Regulatory Affairs Product Manager. Hua actively collaborates with product managers across different product lines and engages with other stakeholders to develop products and achieve regulatory goals. She plays a pivotal role in safeguarding compliance, mitigating risks, and ultimately ensuring the success of our clients’ products in the market. Moreover, she offers invaluable assistance to customers by addressing inquiries regarding microbial discovery, characterization, and safety assessment. “I prioritize nurturing robust relationships with regulatory agencies and remain vigilant about regulatory advancements to proactively tackle potential challenges.” Hua’s expertise in microbiology is fortified by her educational journey spanning two continents and her international work experience in diverse roles across different research institutes and universities. Beginning with a Master’s degree in China, she continued her academic pursuits in the Netherlands. She achieved her Ph.D. in Molecular Biotechnology from Leiden University. Throughout her career, she has been focused on unraveling the complexities of microbial communities and exploring the intricate interactions between microorganisms and their environments. “I am enthusiastic about advancing our understanding of these interactions and leveraging the knowledge to drive meaningful advancements in the field of microbiology, ultimately contributing to the resolution of pressing human health issues.”
