BaseClear BV, the leading genomics specialist in The Netherlands, today announced the appointment of Edwin Galle as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 1, 2018.
Galle will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and financial reporting. “We’re excited to welcome Edwin to BaseClear as our new CFO,” said BaseClear CEO and co-founder, Bas Reichert. “Galle brings extensive financial, operational, and strategic experience. This, combined with his deep knowledge and experience scaling high-growth companies, will be a huge asset to BaseClear as we enter our next phase of growth.”
Galle began his career in the airline industry as a Business Controller at Transavia, followed by several financial positions at KLM and Heineken. The most recent experience has been as a Financial Director at Apotex Netherlands for the last 8 years. Apotex Netherlands is a pharmaceutical company based at the Bio Science Park in Leiden. He holds a degree in Business Economics and post-graduate RC . “I am happy to join the team of BaseClear’s professionals,” Galle said. “As an experienced and passionate CFO my focus is on innovation in processes, products and services to create sustainable and profitable growth. Galle will succeed Erna Barèl. Barèl, co-founder of BaseClear, will continue as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Barèl will now focus completely on operational affairs, quality management systems and HR.
