On March 19, 2020, the Dutch Accreditation Council extended and upgraded BaseClear’s laboratory quality standard accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
BaseClear has had the ISO/IEC 17025 quality standard accreditation for the last 16 years. As of March 2019 Next-Generation Sequencing (Illumina HiSeq and MiSeq) services are also included on the scope. The accreditation is now extended and upgraded to the 2017 version and includes Illumima NovaSeq sequencing (as replacement for HiSeq) and DNA isolation protocol https://www.rva.nl/alle-geaccrediteerden/l457/
In December 2017, the Dutch Accreditation Council launched an updated version of the laboratory quality standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 version includes a number of significant changes compared to the 2005 version. These changes include the introduction of systematic risk assessments and a new customer complaint policy.
By complying with this standard BaseClear underlines the implementation of a strict quality management system and demonstrates technical competence. Therefore, the accreditation confirms that our laboratory is able to produce the highest quality of valid data and deliver reliable results.
The decision to extend the accreditation is recognition by the Accreditation Council of the high quality standard which is maintained in BaseClear’s laboratory. The updated accreditation is now valid until April 1st, 2023 https://www.rva.nl/alle-geaccrediteerden/l457/
