With the MicroSEQ® system BaseClear offers a validated microbial identification service. The system includes validated kits, protocols and a validated database. This service can be used for both bacterial and fungal identifications.
Identification of bacterial samples by PCR and DNA sequencing of a part of the 16S rRNA ribosomal gene using MicroSEQ® validated protocols, kits and database. Primers bind to the conserved regions within this gene, while the divergent regions are sequenced for identification. The length of the consensus sequence is ~475 bp long. The analysis is based on the MicroSEQ® system of Life Technologies. This system includes validated kits and libraries, containing entries for over 2200 bacterial species. A full report including the homology search to the MicroSEQ® validated database and sequence data will be mailed to the client within 2-4 working days for the standard service (BC-304) or within one working day after we have received your sample(s) for our fast service (BC-304F)!
Identification of fungal samples by PCR and DNA sequencing of (a part of) the D2-LSU gene. Primers bind to the conserved regions within this gene, while the divergent regions are sequenced for identification. The length of the consensus sequence is 200-300 bp long. The analysis is based on the MicroSEQ® system of Applied Biosystems. This system includes validated kits and libraries, containing entries for over 1600 fungal species. A full report including the homology search to the validated MicroSEQ® database and sequence data will be mailed to the client within 3-5 working days for our standard service (BC-306) or within one working day after we have received your sample(s) for our fast service (BC-306F).
Via our daughter company ProBase Pharma we offer GMP certified microbial identifications. For more information visit www.probasepharma.com.
