Microbial Identification
The validated system used by BaseClear is a revolutionary system for identification of micro-biological samples (bacteria and fungi), based on PCR and DNA sequencing of the 16S, ITS or D2-LSU regions. This system provides accurate and reproducible results without the need for time-consuming growth. It is suitable for fast screening (1 day for our fast service!) of even the most difficult samples. BaseClear offers a service that is far more accurate and much faster than any other conventional identification method.

MLST
Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) is a technique in molecular biology for the typing of bacterial species. The procedure characterizes isolates of bacterial species using the DNA sequences of internal fragments of multiple (usually seven) housekeeping genes.

Mycoplasma testing
Mycoplasma species are often found as contaminants in cell cultures, virus stocks and other cell-derived chemicals. BaseClear can detect these mycoplasma rapidly and reliably using a validated PCR test.
