Sample collection & preservation
The collection and transportation of samples for subsequent nucleic acid analysis has historically been difficult due to DNA/RNA degradation or modification caused by environmental factors and by...
The advent of Next-Generation sequencing has supercharged our ability to explore both human and environmental microbial ecosystems using targeted sequencing approaches such as 16S rRNA and shotgun metagenomics. This has led to an explosion in the field of microbiomics. For this research proper standards and quality control measures are required. The microbiomics community has expressed a need to standardize methods to improve the reproducibility and quality of the data being generated. As such, Zymo Research developed the first commercially available Microbiomics Standards for the development, evaluation, calibration, and validation of complex microbiomics workflows encompassing sample collection, sample preparation, and analyses.
This is a summary of the microbiomics products of Zymo Research. For more details about these products please visit https://www.zymoresearch.com/products/microbiomics. For pricing, please inquire via our contact form.
Zymo Research has made it their goal to eliminate bias across the entire microbiomic workflow. Their new product line, ZymoBIOMICS™, is a complete workflow, from collection to analysis, which offers streamlined collection, purification, and the first microbial community standards.
Sample-sized kits of Zymo Research microbiomics technologies are available for your evaluation. To order your free sample kit, please fill in the sample kit request form. You will receive the requested test kits for evaluation without any obligations.
BaseClear can only offer sample kits to customers in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Visit http://www.zymoresearch.com/distributors to find distributors for other countries.
